Dear Colleagues!

In connection with the Year of Russia in Bulgaria,  National Union of Business Angels Non-commercial Partnership together with Design Bureau for Experimental Works Closed Joint-Stock Company, on behalf of the Federal Agency for Science and Innovations (Rosnauka) is arranging the Russian-Bulgarian Forum  «Prospects for innovative cooperation between Bulgaria and Russia», as well as a number of events aimed at the mutually beneficial cooperation between Russian and Bulgarian innovative companies, venture funds, business angels and innovative infrastructure.

It is intended to organize the following events in the framework of the Russian-Bulgarian Forum in Sofia on October 8 to 12, 2008:

October 8

A press conference dedicated to the opening of the Russian National Exhibition «Russia and Bulgaria: New Prospects for Cooperation». Discussion on the issues «Of cooperation between Russia and Bulgaria in the area of joint use of information systems and opportunities for Russian-Bulgarian cooperation in the innovations area».

2. “Economic and innovative cooperation between Russia and Bulgaria: new prospects”. 

Would-be subjects of discussions:

• “Partnerships of privately and state-owned entities, government-backed programmes in support of innovative companies”.
• «Venture and business-angel investing and innovative infrastructure development (business incubators, Special Economic Zones, consultancy and legal support etc.)».

3. Round table: «Small Innovative Companies and Big Corporations. Innovative Interaction».

4. Seminar: «How to prepare innovative projects for presentation to an investor».

5.Presentation of innovative projects in the area of high technologies.

5.1.Information Retrieval System for ecological, sea navigation, tourist,  civil engineering, real estate, power engineering and food supply of the Black Sea Region fields.

5.2. Electronics.  Prospects for joint manufacturing of  electronic components and modules for radioelectronic industries of Bulgaria and Russia.

5.3. Energy-saving, environment-friendly stationary/mobile  life-sustenance systems for various applications based on cutting-edge constructive-technological solutions and materials.

5.4. Alternative sources of power supply.

5.5. Multifunctional computer-aided  information system of accounting and control over small-size vessels (AIS GIMS) of Bulgaria.

It is intended to conduct round-table discussions and presentations of several hi-tech innovative projects to business angels, venture funds and investment companies in Varna on October 13 to 14, 2008.

If you are interested, please, kindly inform us and give your proposals on the events arrangement.

We intend to conduct a series of meetings and negotiations on Forum organization with Bulgarian representatives in Sofia on August 4, 5, 6, and in Varna on August 6, 7, 8, 2008.

We will greatly appreciate it if you and your business partners find it possible to discuss prospects for cooperation during this period.
